On December 4, 5 and 6, the symposium « Contemporary glimpses on Grothendieck’s mathematics post-IHES » organized by Damien Calaque and Bertrand Toën will address the mathematical research developed by Alexandre Grothendieck between 1973 and 1991 after his departure from IHES, and its posterity in contemporary mathematics.

In addition, an exhibition entitled «  Grothendieck mathématicien : le temps des réflexions 1973-1991 »  (Grothendieck the mathematician: time for reflection 1973-1991) will be on display at the Mathematics and Mechanics Library from Monday December 9, 2024. Admission is free and open to the entire university public.
